RIP Myron G. Leet, AAGO

A former colleague and friend of many has entered into eternal rest. Myron George Leet, AAGO served as organist at First Presbyterian Church of Wilkes-Barre for 39 years, retiring in 2000. Highly respected and heavily involved in the Wyoming Valley’s classical music scene, Myron served two terms as Dean of the Wilkes-Barre AGO chapter (prior to its merger with Scranton and the formation of our current chapter), taught organ and flute, organized and performed in numerous concerts and recitals, and was affiliated with the Wyoming Valley Oratorio Society.

During his retirement years, Myron moved to San Antonio, Texas, where he continued his ministry of music, serving as organist and choir director at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church and finally as choir member and handbell ringer at Northminster Presbyterian Church. Myron passed away after a period of illness on April 21. A funeral was held in San Antonio in May. May God grant him eternal rest.
